Mobile phone network EE has agreed to buy 58 stores from Phones 4U, saving 359 jobs.

Dixons Carphone has said that it will hire the 800 people who work in Phones 4U concessions at its Currys and PC World stores and on Friday, Vodafone agreed to take over 140 of Phones 4U's outlets.

However, thousands of jobs remain at risk and administrators PwC confirmed last week that 628 employees at Phones 4U head office in Newcastle-under-Lyme are losing their jobs.
