Mobile phone company EE is to open 50 new stores in 2014, creating approximately 350 new jobs on the high street and retail parks.

Deirdre Burns, EE retail director, commented: “The High Street is working for us, and we are committed to operating the best shops, in the right locations. This is a truly exciting time for our business. Our retail team has played a key role in this success and we have no intention of standing still.”

As part of the store rationalisation programme, stores in close proximity to other outlets may be closed and staff will be relocated.
