Peter Marks, the former chief executive of the Co-operative Group is to leave his position on the board at travel group Thomas Cook after less than two and a half years.
Frank Meysman, chairman said: "I would like to thank Peter for his support and contribution as a Board member and as Chair of the Health, Safety & Environmental Committee. My fellow Directors and I wish him well for the future."
Mr Marks has faced questioning from MPs over the Co-operative Group’s deal to buy 632 branches of Lloyds for £750 million and its 2009 merger between its banking arm and Britannia Building Society, which nearly led to its collapse.
