It has been reported today (24th August) that Dwell, the contemporary furniture store is continuing its expansion plan by opening a new store in New Malden.

The new store which opens early September will cover 4,500 sq ft, will provide a ‘Click and Collect’ service and also provide free parking facilities. The objective is to target shoppers in the New Malden area as well as other towns such as Richmond, Kingston-upon-Thames and Wimbledon.

The New Malden store manager, James Dwyer, said: “We believe that stylish, contemporary design can be affordable and we want to show customers how easy it is to get the lifestyle they aspire to.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the local community on our launch day so they can be first to see our stylish collection. Even if they can’t make it on our opening weekend, we regularly introduce new products to the range so customers will always find something fresh and unique no matter when they come to shop.”

Dwell chief executive and founder, Aamir Ahmad, said: “We launched the very first dwell in Balham in 2003 because we knew that Londoners are at the cutting-edge of style when it comes to homewares and we felt there was a gap in the market for contemporary design pieces which don’t cost a fortune.”

On the opening weekend of the new store, one customer will win back their order, plus there will be flash sales on limited bestselling items and a chance to win £100 to spend in store. There is also a chance to win £1,000 in a prize draw to all customers who sign up.
