UK retailer Fat Face has appointed financial services firm Lazard as sources say it is close to an initial public offering (IPO). The retailer confirmed that it has appointed Lazard but declined to comment on any potential floatation.

Earlier this year, the company announced plans to enter the US and recently appointed former M&S boss Sir Stuart Rose to its board as chairman.
