Department store chain Fenwick has boosted its retail knowledge base by appointing retail veterans Alastair Kerr and Christine Cross to its board.

Ms Cross was at Tesco between 1989 and 2003, where she held a number of non-food retail roles. She was also a non-executive director of Next and currently acts as an adviser for retailer Monsoon.

Mr Kerr was previously at Mothercare, Kwik-Fit and The Body Shop.
