The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is to investigate Tesco following the revelation that the group had overstated its six-month profit guidance by £250 million.
Tesco, which has already launched its own investigation into the problem, has said that it will “continue to co-operate fully with the FCA and other relevant authorities considering this matter”.
