The luxury department store Fortnum & Mason has opened a new store in the UK for the first time in over 300 years.
The store, set to open at the Eurostar terminal in London’s St Pancras International will be opened on Friday and will be offering Fortnum’s famous tea with travellers being able to enjoy an edited range of products from the tea salon. This will include such delights as 18 rare single estate teas and 10 classic blends. Smoked salmon, stilton, sweets, chocolates and Champagne will also be served.
Ewan Venters, chief executive of Fortnum & Mason, said: “Fortnum & Mason has been famous for servicing the needs of travellers and explorers since the early 18th century, and we look forward to doing this for the next three hundred years from our new home in St Pancras.”
