Frasers Group, the owner of Sports Direct and House of Fraser, is set to cut up to 200 jobs at its London and Shirebrook offices as part of plans to drive efficiencies and streamline processes.

This means that 20% of the company’s head office staff are at risk of redundancy as the company employs around 1,000 people across the two sites.

According to Drapers, Frasers Group has entered a consultation period with affected team members.

A Frasers Group spokesperson said: “Frasers Group has gone through significant change in the last year, having made a number of strategic acquisitions, and accelerated progress against the elevation strategy.

“We are reviewing our team structures to identify efficiencies and streamline processes and we have entered a consultation period with colleagues affected  by these changes. The changes will ensure we have the right structure and talent to support continuing profitable growth for Frasers Group.”

The group’s portfolio of retailers also includes Jack Wills, Evans Cycles, USC, Flannels, 18 Montrose, Game, Sofa.com and Frasers.
