Fashion retailer Next has said it is going to hit its annual sales and profit forecasts after seeing a 3.5% increase in full price sales in the first half of its financial year.

Figures show that Next’s retail sales increased by 0.8%, along with catalogue sales and Next Directory online rose by 7.5%, whilst markdown sales rose 3.3%.

A spokesperson from Next said: “We believe the improvements experienced at the end of the season were mainly driven by warmer weather.”

Due to the sales increase, the fashion retailer has studied its sales and profit guidance and its mid-point full year profit guidance has risen by 1.9% from £810 million to £825 million and its full year guidance has risen to 6%.
