Google Glass has been released in the UK, making Britain the second market to get the prototype interactive eyewear after the US.
Google Glass, currently a prototype, costs £1,000 and is only available to those over the age of 18.
The launch has concerned many companies, such as the Vue cinema chain, which has said that it will be asking guests not to use the technology during films and Coffee chain Starbucks said it would "politely ask" customers not to film its staff, while Costa said those who used Glass "inappropriately" would be asked to leave. The Really Useful Group, which runs six theatres in London, said it planned to "evaluate the implications of this new technology, especially with regard to the effect on the cast, creative team and members of the public", while the JD Wetherspoon chain of pubs said it planned to "discuss the matter in due course".
The technology allows users to take video, pictures, access the internet and other features normally associated with smartphones.
