Gunmen are reported to be holding several hostages in what French police are calling an attempted robbery in a Primark shop north of Paris.
Police say about 10 people are inside shop at Villeneuve-la-Garenne after armed robbers are thought to have entered the shop at 6.30am this morning.
At 7am one of the employees sent a text message to a friend saying “we are being held hostage by two armed men”.
Police have stopped all traffic around the mall where the shop is located and special forces have been dispatched to the scene.
