It has been reported that department store House of Fraser has seen like-for-like sales rise 6.5% and a 30.8% rise in online sales.
Figures show that online retail currently represents 17.5% of the department stores sales in comparison with 14.2% in 2014/2015, as House of Fraser continues to innovate as part of a general move in the industry towards online and mobile retailing.
House of Fraser announced an update to its iPhone app which will allow customers to scan barcodes in store and also an improved delivery service which will have a cut off point for ‘Buy & Collect’ delivery to be in stores by midday the following day.

Future plans for House of Fraser include opening its first store in China in 2016.
