It has been reported that Hugo Boss has started work to increase the size of its flagship store in Liverpool’s Metquarter shopping centre. For the time being it has relocated to another site whilst work to the interior and exterior are being done.
This follows Gieves & Hawkes attaining a ten year lease and increasing its floorspace to over 3,600 square feet.
Jennina O’Neill, Metquarter centre manager, said: “Since the acquisition of the asset in 2012 the new owners and their asset management team have focused on ensuring that current retail tenants have benefitted from more intensive retail and marketing related support to drive brand awareness and retail sales performance.
“This approach has resulted in the majority of our retailers sales performances growing healthily in 2013 and 2014 and ultimately, improved their long-term commitment through these store investment and refurbishment programmes.”
