It has been reported that Swedish furniture giants IKEA is in talks to take up space in the BHS department store, situated at 252-258 Oxford Street.
The smaller outlet within the department store will be an “order-and-collection” point, the same as the one that opened in Norwich recently and a second one is due to open in Aberdeen in early 2016.
A spokesperson for IKEA said: “While we are seriously considering this opportunity, we have nothing to confirm at this point in time while discussions are ongoing.”
The idea of bringing an outlet to London is so that customers that can’t get to a range of a full store can still pick up items in the smaller outlet.
