John Lewis enjoyed strong trading last week with year-on-year sales growth of 15.6% thanks to its 150th anniversary celebrations.
A number of stores in John Lewis saw the celebrations bring a double digit percentage growth in sales and online sales also climbed by 25.8%.
David Barford, director of selling, group L & S at John Lewis, said: “We move towards the end of the trading year with strong performances across all of our channels.
“There was a good split of results across the week with all days except one putting on double digit percentage gains.”
