Department store John Lewis has seen a rise of 6% in sales year-on-year last week, partly due to the success of its autumn fashion range.
Stores that saw the biggest increase in sales were Exeter with an increase of 18.6%, Knight & Lee with a 13.5% increase and Stratford with an 11.9% increase, whilst the online sales rose 21.1%.
Figures also show that fashion sales rose 12.4%, home directorate sales rose 3.2% and electricals and home technology sales rose 2.9%.
Head of selling at John Lewis at home, Liz Mihell, said: “Autumn is without a doubt just around the corner and all the signs are that the new season's fashion and home assortments are hitting the mark with customers.”
