Ian Cheshire, boss of DIY chain B&Q, has been honoured in the Queen's New Year's Honours list for services to "business, sustainability and the environment". He was appointed by the Prime Minister to advise on ways to cut EU red tape on a taskforce that included Marc Bolland of M&S and Diageo’s Paul Walsh.
