It has been reported today that Trinity Leeds shopping centre will be the first to introduce customers to a loyalty programme specifically for Apple Wallet and Apple Watch.

The loyalty programme ‘Love Trinity Leeds’ started in January 2015 and members of the programme can use exclusive offers in restaurants, bars and shops by scanning their Apple Watch. They will receive the alerts via the shopping centre’s proximity-based beacons.

Retailers such as Mango, DKNY Men, Superdry, Adidas, Topshop and Armani Exchange have signed up to ‘Love Trinity Leeds’ and leisure operators such as Everyman Cinema have also signed up.

Land Securities, digital marketing and CRM director, Amy Richardson said: “We have been able to successfully integrate the app and Apple systems with our beacon technology in order to create an entirely new dimension for shoppers in an already iconic retail environment.

“Those customers who wear an Apple Watch will be alerted to offers immediately, providing them with an early opportunity to take advantage of numerous fantastic deals across the centre. The speed at which consumers can access new offers is becoming increasingly important in the fast-paced world of consumer technology.”
