Japanese firm Suntory has bought the Lucozade and Ribena drinks brands from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for £1.35 billion.
Suntory entered the European market four years ago with the purchase of beverage firm Orangina Schweppes. GSK has chosen to sell off the brands in order to concentrate on its core pharmaceuticals business.
