Marks & Spencer has unveiled its reshuffle management plan for its management team in a bid to drive greater accountability and “ensure one view of the customer”.

As part of its reshuffle, the five key executives that currently work under chief executive Marc Bolland will see an increase in their responsibilities after M&S announced that its international director Jan Heere had quit leaving multi-channel director Laura Wade Gery to take over the responsibility for the UK retail as well as M&S.com.

Its international business will now be overseen by Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne alongside his current responsibilities as executive director, marketing and business development.

Marc Bolland said: “Over the last three years, we have worked hard to transform M&S into an international, multichannel retailer that is fit for the future of retail.

“We now have the right infrastructure in place to take our business forward and, as we enter the next phase of our plan, we need to make sure our team structures and internal processes allow us to move with pace, simplicity and speed.”
