Retail giant Selfridges and the Mexican Tourist Board have joined forces to host ‘Welcome to Mexico’ at London’s Oxford Street store as part of the ‘Year of Mexico’ at the department store.

The event will feature cooking demonstrations, guest chef takeovers and samplings in the food hall. The event will take place between 14th April and 12th May in the Corner Restaurant at Selfridges.

Chefs will include Daniel Ovadia, Miguel Angel Guererro, Manolo Banos, Javier Plascencia and Benito Molina, and samplings will include food such as Madagascar tuna tostada, lobster with mole verde and a rice pudding and nitro churro.

Selfridges will also host samples of food from Mexican restaurateurs and the store’s suppliers. Tastings will happen between 12pm and 8.30pm and the dishes will be provided from a selection of providers including London based Mexican restaurant Lupita and Gringa Dairy.
