Monsoon Accessorize has returned to profit thanks to a focus on stock management and a refusal to discount.

Group turnover rose 4.3%, boosted by a rise of a third in international sales which propped up a flat performance in the UK which accounts for the majority of the company’s turnover. 

Chief executive John Browett, who joined the company last year, has signalled his intention to expand the brand’s international reach and push further into the Middle East, China, the US and Latin America. He is largely credited with turning around the Dixons group.
