Mulberry has announced that freelance fashion consultant Julie Gilhart has joined the board as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

Ms Gilhart has worked with clients including Amazon.com and LVMH. She previously spent 18 years in various roles at Barneys New York, most recently as fashion director.

Godfrey Davis, Mulberry’s executive chairman said: "I would like to welcome Julie to the Board and look forward to her bringing her considerable fashion and brand experience to bear as we continue to build Mulberry into a global luxury brand."
