N Brown has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Sarah Welsh to the newly created role of retail chief executive. Ms Welsh will join the business on 30th March and will be responsible for all aspects of product including buying, merchandising, design, fit, trading, sourcing and partnerships.
Ms Welsh will join N Brown from Oasis where she has worked for the last 18 years. Her most recent role at the fashion retailer was managing director. At N Brown she will report directly to group chief executive Steve Johnson.
Mr Johnson said: “Sarah joins N Brown at an exciting time as we continue with our strategy to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. She brings a wealth of relevant experience, not least in building strong and empowered teams to develop brand propositions. Her experience will be important in further improving and developing our product offering to continue making our customers look and feel amazing.”
