The luxury department store Harrods has promoted two member of its team to take on the roles of fashion directors after former chief merchant Marigay McKee announced her departure from Harrods in September.

Helen David has become fashion director of womenswear, accessories, fine jewellery and childrenswear due to her experience working as general merchandise manager of womenswear and fine jewellery. Jason Broderick who was previously a general merchandising manager has also been promoted to fashion director for menswear, sports and watches, having previous experience in those categories.

Harrods managing director Michael Ward said:"We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Helen David to fashion director of womenswear, accessories, fine jewellery and childrenswear and Jason Broderick to fashion director of menswear, sports and fine watches," said Ward. "Both are excellent merchants, with an exceptional eye for luxury, playing an integral part in developing the world class offer that Harrods is known for."
