Supermarket giant Morrisons has announced its new group hr director, Clare Grainger.
With almost 25 years’ experience in the industry, Ms Grainger has mainly worked in the retail sector and previously in Asda.
Before starting her new position in September, Ms Grainger has held the position of interim Group Retail Director as she works to improve the customers shopping experience by recruiting 5,000 new staff.
Ms Grainger will join the other two new appointed people on the Executive Committee, Gary Mills, group retail director who previously worked for Tesco and Stewarts Supermarkets and Darren Blackhurst, commercial director, who previously worked at B&Q.
Morrisons CEO, David Potts said: “Clare is a hard-working and talented director who passionately represents our people at every level. She has done a great job of leading our stores and now her focus will move to ensuring we grow, develop and attract the best talent to support our turnaround.”
