The One Stop convenience chain, which is owned by Tesco, has opened its 700th store in Letchworth in Hertfordshire

One Stop has also launched 30 new stores in the current financial year and recently went on to purchase 33 Spar stores from Alfred Jones, which will be refurbished and completed by January 2014.

One Stop property director Mark Williams said: “We’re delighted to have surpassed the 700 store mark, as we continue to invest in the business and bring One Stop’s range and value to local communities across England and Wales.

“We plan to open further stores in the coming months, but we’re always on the lookout for additional sites, so that we can introduce the One Stop shopping experience to even more communities.”
