Pandora is set to axe 1,200 jobs in Thailand after suffering a drop in its first quarter sales.

This comes after 700 jobs were cut in February, after plans where announced to save around £137.3m on costs by the end of 2020 and revive the brand through enhanced marketing efforts.

The jewellery retailer is set to double its marketing efforts in the UK, Italy and China.  It plans to use celebrities and social media influencers to help to promote the brand.

Pandora employs 32,000 people globally, 14,000 of which are based in Thailand.
