Discount fashion retailer Primark has announced that it is to extend compensation for those affected by the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh.

The company will continue to pay the wages of victims for a further three months following the collapse earlier this year killing over 1,100 people.

So far, just nine of the 23 brands produced at the factory met with union IndustriALL to discuss a long-term compensation fund of $74.6m (£47.2m) for the workers injured in the disaster, and the families of those who died.
