Primark has posted a 4% sales increase in the 40 weeks up until June 22nd, according to Associated British Foods.

Sales growth in in May was held back by unseasonable weather, although that did change in June.  This was also the case in the Eurozone.

Primark’s new stores performed particularly well during the period, with the company saying that it is pleased with the response to its new store in central Birmingham.

ABF also said that its US business continued to perform well during the period, with plans to open new stores at American Dream, New Jersey and Sawgrass Mills within the next 12 months.
