Budget fashion retailer Primark is to open a 46,000 square foot store at the Bluewater shopping destination.

Due to launch in 2019, the shop on Thames Walk will stock clothing for women, men and children as well as footwear, accessories, beauty and homeware products.

Landsec, Bluewater’s owner and asset manager, said insight gathered from its SMG guest feedback programme had revealed that Primark was one of the most consistently requested retailers by Bluewater shoppers.

Russell Loveland, portfolio director at Landsec, said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance our offer, from securing new premium brands to ensuring we provide the very best of affordable fashion. By providing a comprehensive, relevant and engaging offer, from brands to experiences, we ensure Bluewater remains the number one destination.”

The signing of Primark follows openings by Kate Spade, Coach, Godiva, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Smashbox, Lindt and GraVity at Bluewater in the last 12 months.
