Amazon given go-ahead for drone trials in US

Amazon is due to start trialling its drone-based system for online deliveries in the US after being given the green light by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

People with current pilot licenses will be able to test the unmanned aircraft, which the online retailer is hoping to use in customer deliveries, although the drones will have to remain within sight of the pilot and can only be used during daylight hours.
