Budget airline Ryanair has announced that it will be creating 200 new jobs as part of an expansion programme that will include the recruitment of 500 new pilots, engineers and cabin crew this year.
The airline, which is relaunching its website this month, reported a loss of £34 million in the last quarter of 2013, with passenger numbers falling 200,000 in March to 5.2m, down 4% on the same month a year earlier.

However, the airline also said that it expected total passenger numbers for its financial year ending March next year to rise to 84 million, from 81 million this year.
