A suspected gas leak has resulted in the evacuation of a shopping centre and left 62 people requiring medical treatment.
The leak is thought to have come from a supermarket fridge and was discovered when staff and shoppers fell ill at the checkout of the Sainsbury’s store in Hedge End, Southampton, shortly after 5pm.
