Starbucks has announced that it is moving its European HQ to Britain in order to “better oversee the UK market”.
The move will mean that the company pays more tax in the UK following a row over corporate tax avoidance which saw Starbucks pay the Government £5 million last year, its first corporation tax payment since 2009.
The move is due to be completed at the end of 2014.
The company added that it would also open over 100 outlets in the UK this year, creating 1,000 new jobs.
