Tesco Extra has announced it will be opening six new giraffe cafés within stores this summer.
New sites opening which include Sutton Cheam, Cirencester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Poole in Dorset, West Durrington in West Sussex, and a second Scottish opening in Glasgow will all have the new café concept which has been specifically designed for smaller sites.
Russel Joffe, co-founder of giraffe concepts said: “We’ve listened to our customers and agreed on an all-day café model that is best suited for smaller locations. We’ve created a shorter menu to showcase the more popular dishes and made breakfast available throughout the day. It’s a casual experience when visiting Tesco, so we created a café menu to reflect that.”
Giraffe which already operates 53 restaurants around the UK is owned by Tesco and continues to be run by the original founders.
