Sir Philip Green has agreed a deal with Tesco that will see the supermarket stock brands from his Arcadia empire including Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and Evans.

In a statement, Tesco said: “We’re always looking at new ways our stores can best serve the needs of local customers. Customers in the five locations told us they’d like to see more fashion options in their local area, so we decided to trial introducing some great brands to each store which complement our existing offer.”

Five stores will pilot the scheme, in Horwich, Culverhouse Cross, Chesterfield, Bradley Stoke and Woolwich. It is anticipated that Tesco’s own clothing brand, F&F, will trade alongside the Arcadia brands.
