Supermarket giant Tesco and Unilever have teamed up to bring Londoners a discount on Magnum ice-creams via an app called Mpulse.
The app will work when people have downloaded Mpulse. When they pass any of the 270 Tesco express stores where the offer is valid, the iBeacon technology will be triggered.
Magnum global brand director, Neil Gledhill said: “We’re always looking at innovative ways to deliver on Magnum’s brand promise of delivering pleasure and to be able to do it at scale with a partner like Tesco is fantastic.”
Tesco convenience managing director, Tony Reed commented: “We’re constantly seeking new and exciting ways for our customers to shop with us and receive great offers. With summer on the way, we’re delighted to trial this concept and can’t wait to get our customers’ feedback.”
