Waitrose has reduced the prices of over 200 everyday products as part of a £100 million investment in helping customers to lower their shopping bills.

The supermarket said cuts have been applied across every shopping aisle and include staple items such British butter and tomato ketchup, as well as British cocktail sausages, salads and ice cream for summer barbecues and picnics. The move has resulted in half of the products being 10% cheaper.

This is the second price cutting exercise by the retailer this year. In February, it reduced prices on more than 300 products.
