The Fashion retailer White Stuff has seen its profits almost double as it upped its online and overseas expansion.

White Stuff generated profit before tax of £9.47 million in the year to May 3rd, on the back of sales of £115.7 million. These figures compare with profits of £5.1 million on sales of £99.5 million in the year before. Online sales rose by 47.9% in the year, to £24.1million, which represented 20.8% of total sales.

Chief executive Jeremy Seigal said the strength of the performance was due to increased sales on all fronts and pointed to the importance of White Stuff’s click and collect service, which was in place at the start of the financial year.
