Zalando has experienced its strongest second quarter for active customer growth with an uplift of 15.2% to 28.3 million.
Site visits also grew by 34.3% to 986.4 million, with 84% of them visits coming from a mobile device.
Zalando chief financial officer David Schröder said: “More customers than ever before have chosen Zalando as their starting point for fashion. This proves that our continuous efforts to deliver a best in class fashion experience pay off.”
This comes after the company introduced a range of new initiatives to help improve the customer experience, which included building a new warehouse in the Netherlands to help ready the brand for future expansion. It has also doubled the number of parcels delivered in Germany on the same or next day.
Schröder added: “Our platform transition continues to accelerate. The growth of our Partner Program leads to a more attractive and diverse assortment for our customers. We will continue to see GMV growing faster than revenues, fully in-line with our long-term strategy.”
